Fuck YKYWBIKE and AliExpress

Not been mad in a while, but right now I’m furious.

In trying to avoid expensive cycling clothing from local shops I thought I’d try out a brand that seems to have a good reputation sold through AliExpress. For the price of a single jersey from MAAP or RAPHA I could get 2 jerseys, 2 bibs and 2 pairs of socks from YKYWBIKE, so I put in a $200+ order.

The goods were shipped fast, but the local delivery company iMile left the parcel outside my apartment building (which is on a busy street and there’s a bus stop directly in front too). The parcel was stolen, so I started a chat with YKYWBIKE on AliExpress. They told me to email iMile, no response, so I started another chat with YKYWBIKE. This time they filed for a refund, but AliExpress refused to process the refund saying maybe a family member signed for it. After more fuckery they said I need to visit the local delivery agent for proof that I did not receive the item (huh?!), but iMile has no Australian address listed on their site, nor a phone number.

I’ve since done a search for “items not received Aliexpress” and there it is, looks like a LOT of people have had the exact same issue, and AliExpress has denied them refunds too, and that ultimately if I keep trying to escalate this AliExpress will just block me (lol!). I’ve reached out to PayPal in hopes I can get a chargeback going, but it’s looking like I’ve lost my money, but learned a lesson (and hey now I’m just posting this out there so I can feel better about being ripped off).
