Yesterday Christina, Jess and I went to pay the latest addition to the Lock family a visit. Little Lucas is just over a week old and would you believe I got a go at holding him?! I’ve never held a baby before so it was a pretty special moment for me (I had a bad case of baby phobia for many years haha). I’ll be a real man one day!

Last night I caught up with Sean and Liz for dinner and beers at The Clock in Surry Hills. I caught up with Liz not too long ago, she’s going through some major changes (great ones!), but I hadn’t caught up with Sean in ages. With all good mates though, it always seems to feel like you can start where you left off and the three of us catching up felt like old times.
Jess had her 19th at the Löwenbräu last night and Christina and I caught the bus in (something we haven’t done in ages!) so we could get tanked. My mission was to keep up with the 19yr olds but I’ve cut down on the booze so much the past few weeks and my tolerance has dropped big time. I was smashed after two 1litre jugs!

I’m feeling pretty seedy right now thanks to all the champagne I drank last night at my cousin Nicholas’ 21st.

At one point Nicholas’ parents put on a video they had made on his 1st B’day. I had a memory of it as he was crying the whole night but seeing footage of it just blew my vague memory out of the water and seeing footage of my Dad almost made me fall over. He looked so good! Highlight of the night for me, for sure.

Hoo-fucking-ray! I’m a Sci-Fi movie fan and Inception was the best film I’ve seen since The Matrix. Initially I thought DiCaprio was going to ruin the entire film for me (I’m just not a fan) but he played a fucked up guy so that worked out pretty well. Great concepts, a little cheesy, unbelievable and slow at times but I was left thinking and talking about it for hours (always the sign of a good film!).
OK I’ll get off the Golfs but one of the many mails in my inbox (I didn’t check emails whilst I was away) came from Mark Pakula who happened to be at the last Eastern Creek track day I did. He rattled off a few shots of my car + Tendy’s car too. Awesome shots as always!

I’ve just come back home from a 2 week trip to China and Hong Kong. I tried to update the blog in China but they block all Blogger blogs over there (Facebook Youtube and Flickr too!). When I got to Hong Kong I received a few messages to tell me that my blog was taken down. I couldn’t get to my email, nor could I log in to Blogger. I did some Googling and found that a lot of people out there have had their Blogger blogs deleted (!).
I started freaking out.
One of the first things I wanted to do when I walked in the door was check my email for a message from Blogger. It turns out they temporarily disabled my blog just to verify my account. I had to punch in my mobile number, they sent a verification number to my phone and I’ve not got my blog back. Frustrating? A little but hey it could have been worse!
PS: I got heaps of mail whilst I was away and none of it was from the Police so it looks like that Cop that was taking pictures of my car parked in a no standing zone a month ago might have been taking pics of it for personal use?!

I was in China not too long ago (feels like last week!) and I’m off again. This time the Locks are taking me to the world expo in Shanghai. I have vague memories of the 88 Expo in Brisbane. It’s going to be hot and busy. Mr Lock is a big foodie so I’m looking forward to pigging out!
