Being the editor of Sex in Art has it’s perks (well kinda as these goods aren’t going anywhere near my butt!). LELO have invited a select list of bloggers and reviewers from around the world to review new LELO Pleasure Objects from their brand new INSIGNIA line (which hasn’t even been officially launched) and Sex in Art was one of the blogs chosen.
Think classy dildos, very classy.
I received 2 of them in the mail today. The design, branding and packaging is 2nd to none and opening the boxes feels like opening a gift from Louis Vuitton.
I’ve got a couple of Christina’s friends to do the reviewing (names are going to be withheld for now!). More on LELO here.
I’ve been working on this new job lately. It’s hard for me these days to get excited about work. I’m over it and so I choose to only work on things I actually genuinely have an interest in. I initially did something very quick and quite nasty as it was a pro-bono job for a friend’s wife but after actually checking out the goods in her shop (I think the stuff is nice!), and seeing that she really did go all out with adding all her products to her shop herself (I just gave her a WordPress install + WordPress shop) I thought I’d re-visit the job and put more effort into it.
So I ripped down the old site, got in the zone with style sheets, created a new logo, deleted all the Engrish from the About Us section and re-wrote something punchy and short “for now”. I’ve yet to get busy helping her get it out there but I’ve got a few ideas up my sleeve.

Like most of my work, it’s a work in progress. I love working on sites as I go (as opposed to trying to make them perfect before launch). If you have any suggestions on how I can get this fashion business out there, please let me know. I’d appreciate it.
Auto Obsession is officially launched. I designed the logo and the web site too (which I will be running for a while to get the boys going!).
Our new family business Modern Pet is coming along nicely. We’ve got a lot of products and we’ve been busy taking photos of them as well as entering them into our online shop. The blog is now live, so if you’ve got any pet related content you’d like us to feature please drop me a line!

I’ve been working with the go2space guys (they place advertising on VWGolf.net.au and JDMST) for a while now on a new online project. Auto Obsession (AO). AO is an online shop and my job is to give the shop a front and the brand a face, energy and also to generate a community around it. I’ve skinned the site using the same tweaks I’ve done to this WordPress blog (which is the same as JDMST’s blog) and again I’m calling on the amazing talent of Matthew Mead to make my work come alive (I’m a huge Mead fan!).
It’s not live yet but I thought I’d share the development site in any case!
Christina and I just got back from Melbourne where we celebrated our 4th year together. We got back last night and I had a track day out at Wakefield today. I’m buggered! I’ve got a lot of pics to go through. I’ll start with day #1!
We ran into my sisters friend/client Michael at the airport, turns out he was on our flight! He also offered us a lift into the city as his partner Kerri was picking him up (together they run fashion label Amar from Sydney).
I was happy to see Melbourne now has a bike share system. Go Melbourne!
We pimped it and decided to stay at the Westin right in town.

My mate Andrew who runs Semi-Permanent let me know that he had a show at the GPO so we checked it out.
Later that night I had a Bond style Vespa Martini and what came next was epic. I’m saving it for a new post!
