Amazing seafood basket for 2 at Driftwood on the bay.
I’ve had a craving for black sesame ice-cream ever since being denied a serve at Sush Train over a week ago (they ran out of stock!). Craving demolished thanks to Passionflower.

Some more teaser shots from the awesome 3 way collab between myself, NYC based model/artist Cacia Zoo and videographer Scott Mitchell for Babylikestopony – we finished off the shoot last night with a whole lot of footage of Cacia in Chinatown with the Katana (we got a lot of stares!), then we broke into a cemetery, which was freaky considering it was Friday the 13th! Security got us, and kindly escorted us out.
These shots are raw, completely un-cropped and unedited (except the cemetery shot which I’ve made black and white). Love the a7S in low light! I can’t wait to upload the whole set!
PS: Being brought up to respect the dead I made sure I personally apologised and excused myself whilst walking through the cemetery. This particular shoot/video is definitely bound to rattle a few cages.
Had a snappy shoot with Roshie yesterday who’s South African/English and models full time for a living. She’s a great alt girl who loves to fire breathe and twirl (something I’d like to try and shoot in future perhaps!). She’s a bit of a Star Wars nut too so we did some fun Storm Trooper shots as well.
Full Set (NSFW Nudity Warning): http://www.justinfoxphoto.com/girls/#/roshie/
Ive been wanting to shoot a girl with dark skin for ages! Kimmy has AMAZING dark chocolate skin! It’s so perfect! More on my folio (nudity warning!): http://www.justinfoxphoto.com/girls#/kimmy-1/
No waves today, but still gorgeous.
Art around Chalk Espresso caught Krysti’s eye so we had coffee and brekkie here.
Funnies with our bacon ad egg rolls!
I’m an early riser, Robbie knows this, so he messaged me to see if I was up for brekkie. Yes! Let’s! He got Krysti out of bed and we went for a stroll down to the beach. Great way to start the day!
LP’s Quality Meats. Tucked away in a little laneway in Chippendale.
Surprisingly huge on the inside, and Queens of the Stone Age blaring on the stereo.
15 Hour BBQ Beef Short Rib! Kale, and Mash!
Next stop, the new Ambush Gallery launch night at Central Plaza.
Massive mural finished, could still smell the paint!
Launching with a bang! Celebrating 30 years of Mambo!
Lots of memoriescame flooding back for me. I’ve owned a lot of Mambo gear in my past.
Great art on show but I loved the floor the most!
Group shot of a few of the artists who had work on in the show.
Spotted… Jirat!
Another Jirat piece downstairs.
I’ve really become a sweet tooth over the past few years. Gelato from Anita Gelato on the way home (watermelon and mint, so good!).
Teaser test shots from today’s awesome 3 way collab with NYC based model/artist Cacia Zoo and videographer Scott Mitchell for Babylikestopony – Look out for more of my photos, and Scott’s awesome movie, soon!
Massive thanks to Ella at Daniella’s Gelato Cafe for letting us use her awesome cafe in Clovelly! She was an absolute legend!
#winning When your flat mate and his girl make you dinner. DIY Vietnamese Summer Rolls. So healthy, so fresh, so good!
I ran out of car wash, so got creative and used LYNX hair wash instead!
Ahhhh, the Northern Beaches. I used to want to live in Palm Beach as it reminds me so much of Byron Bay.
Maybe my fave car on the night.
Alexi waxing lyrical at our final destination at Palm Beach.
I missed the last sunset cruise which Cordy organised last year. I wasn’t about to miss her second cruise though.
Cordy lives in the Northern Beaches, and has a pretty tight crew of down to earth peeps, all who are car crazy. The cruise was postponed due to bad weather last week, but last night the meet and cruise went ahead.
Just a week ago I was hanging out in Gothenburg, Sweden with Alexi of Nori Yaro Japan, he messaged me to let me know he was in Sydney visiting family! Naturally I dragged him out for the cruise. I’m pretty sure he had a lot of fun seeing some Aussie muscle on the night (a break from the stuff he usually see’s in Tokyo I’m sure!).

Sometimes you have to step out and see things from another perspective (before it’s all lost). The Sydney car scene has been fighting against the hoon label we’ve been slapped with for years. Sometimes I’m not even sure if we’re winning the fight, or losing.
When I read social media, sometimes I think we’re losing. Kids are so quick to type and not think twice, inciting and spreading hate as well as fear about cops setting up defect stations at my meets which in turn stops a lot of people from coming out to play.
But on the night, true car enthusiasts rock up despite the haters behind their keyboards suggesting they should stay at home as they might get defected if they turn up to the meets.
Real life > Internet
When I was recently in Gothenburg, Sweden I met Darren Cassey. I proudly showed him my Facebook reach, he then told showed me his, my jaw dropped and I felt totally embarrassed. Turns out he works for Car Throttle, one of the biggest car blogs in the world with over a million followers on Facebook alone.
Darren told me that Car Throttle gets a lot of Aussies commenting on hoon laws, he saw photos from our most recent February EOMM which inspired him to write a feature about our scene.
It’s early Sunday morning, but my day is made! Be sure to check out the feature titled: Here’s Why Australian Car Culture Is Probably The Best In The World Right Now – http://www.carthrottle.com/post/heres-why-australian-car-culture-is-probably-the-best-in-the-world-right-now/
