APA update

We’ve had 22 amazing images submitted to APA so far, not bas but it’s been a struggle to get it off the ground. We’ve yet to nail down prizes, we’re even considering putting in our own cash for a cash prize! We’ve sent out a lot of requests and we’re playing the waiting game at the moment. Hopefully in a week from now we’ll have some awesome prizes up for grabs. Twist twist twist!

Zen Garage online shop

Brought my cheap eBay lightbox set-up to Zen Garage today in preparation for the online shop images.

Test shot.

Call to action banner for the homepage.

I’m using Opencart for the shop. Tried Magento, killed me it’s ridiculously crap, totally unintuitive. You can check out the empty shop here: http://zengarage.com.au/shop

VWG DIY Day

We had this massive shaded shelter to work in.

Cool and there was a nice breeze going through it too, venue was too good to be true!

Miles had awesome Sunday tunes pumping all day.

Shot from within the warehouse.

Jason’s MKV GTI.

Alan’s RNS upgrade.

All sorts of DIY stuff was done on the day, some mild, some wild!

Hacking the Matrix.

BBQ was so good I had to go for seconds.

Blackjack, cause that’s how we roll.

Big car related day out today. First I dropped in to check out a BMW meet in Alexandria, then I made the drive out to Hoxton Park for the massive VWGolf.net.au install day at BLUM HQ (they make amazing kitchen hinges, robotic, electronic opening doors, mind blowing!).

HEAPS more pictures, with running commentary, here: http://www.vwgolf.net.au/showthread.php?6361-%5BNSW%5D-16th-October-DIY-Day

Battleship grey

Battleship grey for the poles at Zen Garage.

Me up on a ladder painting the top bits. Not afraid of heights but I am afraid of getting up on a ladder. I once fell off one trying to get up onto the roof when I was a kid, never been comfy with ladders ever since!

His name is ELMO, he’s from Japan.

How cool is this huh? It’s an old school overhead projector which we’ll use to project the Zen Garage logo onto the wall, we’ll then paint in the logo with black paint :)

OG Tony Hawk Deck

Rob brought this in to hang on the wall at Zen Garage today. I almost exploded. I could stare at this piece of art for way longer than the Mona Lisa.

INfront Black Books

Amazing start to the Black Books from Rebecca Murphy.

We started a small fun project on INfront last week where we bought a few black A5 journals and sent them around to as many Australian studios/individuals as possible to contribute 2 hand drawn pages each and then send it on.

Above is a scan of the first page in one of the 3 books out there, we’re excited! :) Follow INfront on facebook.
