For a good part of last year I was working with Grant from MC Cyclery on a business plan to launch a new cycling concept shop in the city. Unfortunately things didn’t quite work out to plan and I bailed out of the business. Good news is that Grant forged on and he’s just about to launch with a bang.

This viral video is amazing. It’s going to get out there, and then some. The typography was done by Daniel Dittmar (who’s awesome), not sure who did the video (I assume Flood) but it’s so good I’ve watched it 3 times already!

Today the sun was out, kinda…the only nice day this week so despite my hangover we hit Clovelly for a snorkel. Unfortunately the algae under there were having an orgy which totally screwed up visibility, still nice to have a swim in any case :)

My GT-R on Speedhunters

Charles has featured my GT-R on Speedhunters today. Speedhunters is arguably the biggest Automotive Culture blog out there at the moment so I’m very honored! What’s kinda freaky is how much Charles knows about the car, and the build. He’s even mentioned a few details that I myself have forgotten! And the phone call he mentions in the article sent chills down my spine…yes I once almost thought about letting the car go, and in a very desperate moment one night I called Charles up for his advice. I owe him many many thanks for setting me straight!

Modern Pet ALESSI Facebook Giveaway

Modern Pet Shop hasn’t been doing great since launch late last year. We had high hopes but there haven’t been as many sales as we’d like (in fact, hardly any!).

With Jamie and Richie expecting a baby, and Christina and I planning a wedding, it’s going to be one very busy year, but we’ve decided to give Modern Pet one last shot. We’re going to have to get more aggressive with our marketing and the first of many more promotions is on the way.

This month we’re giving away an Alessi Lula dog bowl, or Alessi Tigrito cat bowl. At $119.95 each they’re perhaps the most expensive pet bowls out there, and if we can’t sell one we might as well give one away!

I’ve noticed a lot of online shops and community sites using facebook “Like” buttons. I’m not a huge fan of facebook but I’ve decided to get my head around it a little more this year and so all you have to do to go into the draw to win the prize is “Like” the Modern Pet Facebook Page.
